The international screening of the film ‘Jari’ starring actors Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar has been decided.
The film is scheduled to be screened in America, Australia, Europe, Middle East and East Asian countries.
“Having a high demand from abroad for a Nepali film before its domestic release is an important achievement for internationalization,” said producer Rambabu Gurung.
According to him, the film will be released in the first week of April in all countries of America, UK, Australia, Japan and Europe. It will be released in the second week of April in Canada, and in the third week of April in the Middle East and Hong Kong.
Director Upendra Subba along with actors Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral and Miruna Magar will attend the premiere in London on April 22.
Producer Gurung informed that the film has collected more than one and a half crore nett from the sale of international rights. ‘Jari’ has become a film that takes the producer to a profit even before its release.
The film is based on the ongoing practice of the Limbu community living in eastern Nepal and its social dimensions.
The film is written and directed by Upendra Subba and produced by Rambabu Gurung.
The Basuri Films banner film stars Bijay Baral, Roydeep Shrestha, Rekha Limbu, Kamalmani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung along with Dayahang and Miruna.
