Red carpet premiere of the film ‘Chitra’ in Australia

Following its premiere in Nepal, the film “Chitra” will now be shown in Australia. The film will first be shown on February 9 at Village Cinemas Eastlands in Tasmania, Australia; the local mayor is expected to attend the film screening, which will cost thirty Australian dollars. Thereafter, the film will be shown in other Australian cities.

Producer and actor Santosh Adhikari, who has been living in Australia, traveled to Nepal for several months to work on the film’s production and screening. He described the project as his personal attempt to promote Nepal and said the goal of the film is to establish Nepal as a travel destination globally.

The film, which is based on the story of a father and daughter, was directed by Ghanshyam Lamichhane and stars Simran Khadka, Pramod Agrahari, Prakash Ghimire, Arpan Thapa, Menuka Pradhan, Anjana Khadka, Anjana Barailly, Ayushi Dhakal (child actor), Kumar Gurung, and Ujjwal Dhakal. Mahesh Paudel provided the cinematography, while Manish Gautam wrote the screenplay and dialogue.
