The suicide case of actor Saruk Tamrakar, who was found dead at home on Asadh 21, is seen to cause a great stir. Actors have been raising their voice for his justice for a few days, but on Saturday, Rajiv Gurung, the director of the film ‘Hashtag Maya’ in which Saruk was acting before his death, revealed something.
After the interview of director Gurung, actress Priyanka Karki said through Instagram that there is a need for a deep investigation into Saruk’s suicide. She wrote, “If the incident happened due to some motivating force and influence, there is a need for a thorough investigation.” Commenting on a journalist’s Facebook post, actress Rekha Thapa mentioned that Saruk should get justice.
Similarly, artist Nirmal Sharma has said that the artists union should coordinate with the police to investigate the various speculations after Saruk Tamrakar’s suicide and bring out the truth. Actor Krishna Malla has mentioned on Facebook that since there are many controversial news and things about Saruk’s suicide, it is necessary to investigate at any level.
As no complaint has been received from Saruk’s family so far, the police is not investigating the incident very seriously. According to the information received, Saruk’s mobile has been sent to the forensic lab. While the voice of a proper investigation regarding his suicide is being raised, the Movie Actors’ Association, which was formed for the rights of the artists, is sitting in a state of silence.
