Why didn’t Samragyee RL Shah participate in the workshop of ‘Nango Village’?

It has not been many years since the trend of sitting in workshops from actors to directors before going to film shooting started in Nepal. In Hollywood/Bollywood, the workshop is considered as an important part of the film production stage. From the screenplay to the character played by the actors in the workshop, they are discussed in a subtle way, so that the film helps to be good from all aspects.

The film ‘Nango Village’ written and directed by Dipendra Lama has also been workshopped for 15 days. The film’s directing team, production design team, cinematography team and costume team were held separately. Finally, artists Dayahang Rai, Karma, Miruna Magar, Shishir Wangdel, Buddhi Tamang, Ankit Khadka and Rabindra Jha participated in the workshop.

The actors were enlightened on screenplay, character creation and story structure. Producer Himal Sharma said that the interaction between the director, team and the actors has been made creative and progressive. Why is a character going to deliver this dialogue? Why are character going to wear these clothes? What is his role in advancing the story? He said that such matters have been discussed.

Director Lama said that the workshop was intensive. Dayahang believes that the workshop facilitated by Rajesh Bishwakarma will help to bring the scenes written in the screenplay to the screen. The lead actress of the film, Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah, was on a visit to Thailand and could not participate in the workshop. The film is being shot by Alok Shukla.
