The Nepali film ‘Gorkha Warrior’ was selected for the British ‘BAFTA Award’

The international Nepali film “Gorkha Warrior” has been chosen for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award. The director of the film, Milan Chams, says that this British-held award is the most prestigious in the world after the Oscars and that Nepal’s selection for the award is a significant achievement in Nepali film history.

“It is a matter of pride for the Nepali film industry that the Nepali film ‘Gorkha Warrior’ has been selected for the prestigious British award BAFTA,” adds director Chams, “especially when the British citizens give high respect to the Gorkha soldiers.”

A selection of European and Hollywood films, including the Nepali film “Gorkha Warrior,” have been nominated for this award; BAFTA has released the list of films that will be screened at the ceremony.

This film, which stars Ritesh Chams in his acting debut alongside Vijay Lama, Rebika Gurung, Rear Rai, Shishir Bangdel, Kabita Ale, Biroop Ghale, Sara Rai, and other actors in supporting roles, will be screened in Nepal next to Falgun or Chaitra.
