‘Parstree’ gets permission to show

The film ‘Parstree’, which is scheduled to be screened on Asadh 15th, has been given permission by the Central Film Review Committee (Censor Board). Last Wednesday, the Censor Board did not allow the screening, objecting to the scenes of bed scenes, kissing and violence in the film. The film got a pass certificate on Friday after the board objected to the scenes being modified by the maker.

The board has given a ‘PG certificate’ to the film so that the audience below 16 years of age should watch it only with their parents. Film writer and producer Dipendra K. Khanal informed that 6 scenes have been modified. Khanal also said that Censor Board officials liked the film. ‘Parastree’ is being screened simultaneously in Nepal and India. The film has been dubbed in Hindi.

Suraj Pandey has directed the film, which is based on the story of family crisis caused by extramarital affairs. This is his debut directorial film. Niraj Kandel is the cinematographer of ‘Parastree’ produced by Sharmila Pandey. The film stars Shilpa Maskey, Koshish Chhetri, Gaurav Bista, Alish Chhetri, Aashant Sharma, Rambabu Regmi, Saraswati Adhikari, Jhaken BC and Arpit Neupane.
