How was the opening of ‘Nai Nabhannu 6’ and ‘Prasad 2’?

Four films are being released in Nepal on Friday, Prasad 2, Nai Nabhannu L 6, Pasang: In the Shadow of Everest and Kadi Ko Patra. Apart from ‘Pasang’, the other three are plot films. This documentary is based on the story of how Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, the first Nepali woman to climb Mount Everest, climbed the highest peak in her fourth attempt.

Advance ticket sales for these four films have been opened since two days ago. But the expected booking of all four films has not been seen.

Vikasraj Acharya, producer and director of ‘Nai Nabhannu La 6’ says, ‘We are satisfied with the booking trend. The booking of our previous films was also not special. Looking at the previous experience, I am optimistic that this time too the ticket window can be sold.”

It is said that ‘Kaidiko Patra’ will be released in theaters other than QFX. QFX has given 18 shows to Nai Nabhannu La 6. The cinema chain has given 33 shows to ‘Prasad 2’. “Pasang” got 5 shows. Interestingly, Dayahang Rai starrer ‘Jari’, which is preparing to release in its third week from Friday, has got the highest number of 34 shows. Looking at the trend, it is sure that ‘Jari’ will do well on the third Friday as well.

As the advance ticket sales of all the four films which are preparing for new release are very weak, now the business of these films will depend on two things. First, window sales and second, word of mouth. The future of these four films will be determined by the first weekend itself. The performance of ‘Chakkapanja 4’ is ending from Friday.
