Finally, after two months, the shooting of the second series of ‘Pashupati Prasad- Bashme Don’, was completed on Thursday. The film was end-clipped with the final scene being shot in the Pashupati area. Although the shooting schedule was for one month, the production cost was extended to two months and it is said that the cost of production has reached 4 crores.
Director Dipendra K Khanal and actor Bipin Karki took the clap board in their hands and announced the end clap on the last day. “We are working on editing from tomorrow,” said director Khanal after the film was packed up, “even if the production cost has doubled, we have not compromised on the quality.”
He said that the cost has doubled due to the cost of production, sound and artist’s salary. The shooting was very good. We have made a film to uphold the legacy. Despite the pressure that was on us, we have been able to shoot with joy,” said director Khanal. “Compared to seven years ago, we have seen maturity in our work now.”
Stating that the story is also bigger this time, Khanal said, “The canvas is also bigger this time.” The arc of the story is also interesting. It is deep. It has been fun. We can feel all this on screen. This time we spent a lot of time on the script. We went to filming only after being sure about the writing. I have full faith in the film.
The film was produced under the banner of Khagendra Lamichhane’s home production Tuki Arts. Manoj Pandit, who is also the director, was the script writer in this film. The film is slated to be released in Nepal and abroad on the upcoming Dashain Phoolpati.
In the film, Bipin played the lead role of Bhashme Don. Swastima Khadka, Saugat Malla and Prakash Ghimire also play lead roles in the film.
