Actress Malika Mahat has started shooting for her much awaited film ‘Sati Devi’. Director Lakshman Subedi said that the shooting of the film started with the auspicious ceremony of the film at the Bhadrakali temple in Kathmandu on Monday.
Malika will play the lead role in this female-led film. She will play a female character named Satidevi. There is a program to start filming in a house in Bafal and go to Lamjung on Tuesday. The film will feature Bhola Raj Sapkota, Ramesh Budhathoki, Kuldeep Adhikari, Sandeep Babu Lohani and others.
The film has a screenplay by director Subedi. Cinematography by Babu Shrestha, dance direction by Ramji Lamichhane, action director by Dev Maharjan, music composed by Deepak Sharma and Subash Bhusal. The producer plans to complete the shooting in a month. Dilasa Creation is going to produce the film in collaboration with Golden State Movie LLC California.
This is the third film of Malika who started her acting career with ‘Yatra’. Although ‘Panifoto’, which was released last year, did poor business, her performance garnered praise. Malika, who came to the film from the background of acting in music videos, said that she will work in films with social content.
