Kathmandu- The Nepal Music and Drama Academy has announced the 2079 awards to be given in various categories on the occasion of the foundation day.
Every year, Nepal Music and Drama National Pragya Award is given to 6 artists and creators who have made significant contributions in the fields of music, drama and dance.
During this, the award will be given to musician Ganesh Rasik for the music category of 2079, folk singer Nabin Kishore Rair for the folk music category, music seeker Vijay Kumar Shrestha for the traditional and classical music category.
Similarly, Prada Ramchandra Pokharel will be awarded for the drama category, director Bhairav Kshetri for the stage category and folk dancer Kulman Nepali for the dance category.
It was informed that the declared award will be given by the hand of the President within this financial year.
Similarly, the Nepal Music and Drama Academy celebrated its 13th anniversary with various cultural performances. In the program, the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Sudan Kirati said that a big campaign should be conducted in the field of culture and new things are being brought in the policy and program.
In the program, Chancellor Nisha Sharma asserted that the government will not let the trust placed in the Academic Council and the Academic Council, including herself, turn into disappointment.
