‘Rangeli’ reduced by 21 minutes in cinema halls

On the occasion of Shivaratri, the film ‘Rangeli’, which was screened on Friday, was suggested to be shortened at the premiere. After that, director Arjun Subedi released the film after shortening it by 4 minutes. Otherwise, the length of the film was 2 hours and 55 minutes. After the release, the director, Subedi, cut another 21 minutes after receiving feedback from the audience that the film was too long.

A film of exactly 2 and a half hours has been screened since Monday. Director Subedi said that he reduced the length of the film according to the wishes of the audience. Despite the good response, there was a feeling that the film was a bit long. Taking into account the comments that it would have been more fun to reduce it a bit and do ‘fast cutting’, we have reduced the film to 21 minutes,” said Subedi.

Filmmaker Arjun, directing his first film, believes that lengthy, plodding films are not what people want to watch. “I made a film for the first time,” he declares. I was therefore able to ascertain what the audience’s desires were. The main issue, in my opinion, is that running the film will be more challenging than making it. On Friday and Saturday, the film did well at the box office.

Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa, Prabin Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki, Rupesh Jha, Sundar Dhital and others are in the lead roles in ‘Rangeli’. The executive producers of the film are Jeetendra Khatiwada and Anuj Jung Thapa, while the producers are Sansar Chaulagain and Ramesh Bhattarai Basishtha. Yuwak Karki and Shiva Shankar Chaulagain are co-producers, and Bivek Khadka Yolo is the associate producer.
