Film Welfare Fund financial support to actor Ghanshyam Gautam

Popular comedian Ghanshyam Gautam, who has been undergoing treatment for cancer for the past few months, has been provided financial support by the Film Workers Welfare Fund. Actor Gautam, who is being treated at Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, was handed over a check for one lakh rupees by the Film Development Board and the funds under the board.

According to Mohan Niraula, President of the Film Artists Association, the support amount was handed over to actor Gautam after reaching Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital on Monday afternoon. A group of artists who reached the hospital to hand over the money wished Gautam a speedy recovery and also took information about Gautam’s health condition from the hospital doctor.

We would like to thank the Nepalese government, the Film Development Board, and the fund for the welfare of film workers under the board for their support of the industry. We appreciate the Chairman of the Film Development Board, Bhuwan KC, Member-Secretary Bishal Sapkota, and the Coordinator of the Welfare Fund, Basundhara Bhusal, for their generosity, stated Chairman Niraula.

Actor Gautam has expressed his heartfelt thanks to the entire family of the Film Development Board, Welfare Fund, and Artists’ Association, as well as to the artists, well-wishers, and relatives who have given him love, goodwill, and support while accepting the support amount of the Film Workers’ Welfare Fund.
