Actor Saruk Tamrakar was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Friday. Actor Tamrakar’s father Sanu Tamrakar lit the funeral pyre. Before the funeral, Tamrakar’s body was kept at Pashupati Aryaghat for last rites. The artists association paid tribute to him by hoisting their flag. Mohan Niraula, president of Film Artists Association, ex-president Rabindra Khadka, actors Shiva Shrestha, Pavitra Acharya, Saugat Malla, Krishna Malla, Sharmila Malla, Sabin Shrestha, Gopal Dhakal ‘Chande’, Dhiraj Magar, Khusbhu Khadka, Ramesh Budhathoki, Madandas Shrestha, Nawal Nepal, Krishna Dhungana, Bholaraj Sapkota, Sunil Katuwal and many artists reached Pashupati Aryaghat to pay tribute to him.
Tamrakar’s body was taken to Pashupati Aryaghat only after post-mortem at the University Teaching Hospital. Tamrakar committed suicide by hanging himself at his private residence in Ratopul on Thursday evening.
Saruk, who acted in films like Rani, Meri Mamu, Intumintu Londonma, was recently busy with the filming of ‘Hashtag Maya’ starring actress Namrata Shrestha. The film is currently under shooting and 30 percent of the filming has completed.
