Nischal Basnet is going to make a comeback in the film ‘Dimaag Kharab’, the main cast lineup has been completed. The poster of the film released by director Basnet on Monday mentions the names of Khagendra Lamichhane, Swastima Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Arpan Thapa and Bijay Baral. It was rumored that Saugat Malla will also act in the film. However, now his ‘chapter is closed’.
Cinematography by Susan Prajapati, music by Jayan K Waiba and Kaliprasad Baskota and editing by Nimesh Shrestha, the screenplay of the film is prepared by Akash Baral. Raunak Bikram Kandel is the producer of the film, which is executive produced by Suraj Bam Thakuri. The release date of the film, which is going to be shot from Jestha 1st, has been announced on Kartik 24th (Tihar).
The film, which is being produced under the banner of Black Horse Pictures and Cinema Arts, will tell the story of people and power. As Nischal is about to return to directing after 6 years, the film industry has high expectations from ‘Dimaag Kharab’. He started a new narrative structure in Nepali films with his debut film ‘Loot’. In its second series, he failed miserably in storytelling.
Nischal has not tried to return to directing in the last 6 years. Before the lockdown, he was preparing to make the film ‘Zindabad’. He even reached Karnali to locate. However, he could not start this film due to the difficulty of VFX and the need for a huge budget. Although he is not active in directing, he has been acting in films and music videos.
