Announcement of ‘National Film Journalism Silver Award’

For the first time, the Film Journalists Association of Nepal, a joint organization of newspapers active in the field of film, will award the ‘National Film Journalism Silver Award’. It was informed that the award will be given on the occasion of Film Journalism Day and the association’s 24th anniversary on the 7th of Jestha, during a program held at the meeting hall of the Film Development Board on Wednesday.

Samir Balami, president of the association informed that a journalist who has contributed at least 25 years through journalism in various genres of art and has been associated with the association for more than 15 years will receive this honor every year on Jestha 7. He said that Rajat Samman is going to be started to encourage senior journalists. The amount of this honor is 55 thousand 555 rupees.

Every year on Jestha 7th, Film Journalists Association has been awarding Film Journalism Encouragement Award with a laptop to one person, Film Journalism Award of 51 thousand rupees to two people and Film Journalism Honor to two people. Similarly, the association has been giving a reward of 25,000 rupees to a journalist covering 9 branches of Mofsal.

Along with the announcement of Rajat Samman, the Association has also released the 2080 calendar under the chief hospitality of Film Development Board Chairman and actor Bhuwan KC. Producers Association President Nawal Khadka, Artists Association President Mohan Niraula, Technical Association President Pushkar Lama, Nepal Film Association General Secretary Narendra Maharjan etc. were present in the program.
