The title of ‘The Poet Idol’ went to Neelam Gurung of Sikkim

Kathmandu- Neelam Gurung has won the title of the television reality show ‘The Poet Idol’ based on poetry. She, a contestant from Sikkim in the finale on Friday, also received ten lakh rupees along with her victory.

Pallavi, Nathan Ryan and Milson Rai competed for the title along with Neelam. Directed by Aman Pratap Adhikari, the show was judged by Biplav Pratik, Upendra Subba, Anup Baral and Suraksha Pant.

Along with ten lakh rupees, the award-winning poet has also got the opportunity to publish a poetry collection worth 5 lakhs on behalf of Yatra Publishing House. A collection of poems prepared by 14 poets in different episodes and stages was also released in the program. While accepting the title, Gurung said that she will not lose from the field of literature. She said that the duster of literature has erased the border between Nepal and Sikkim.
