SEOUL – The 25-year-old Korean pop star Moon Bin has been found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the evening of April 19, 2023. Although the police suspect that he committed suicide, the details will be known only after the post-mortem.
Moon Bin was an actor and model before joining boy band Astro in 2016. This band belongs to the popular band of K-pop group. He also sang in small groups like Moonbin and Sanha.
Before joining the Astro, Moon Bin was in Agency Fantagio’s training program. This group has given only 6 performances so far. Meanwhile, one of the band members left the band last February.
His sister Moon Sua is also a K-pop singer. She sings through the girl group Billie. Moon Bin is the latest Korean star to lose his life this year.
South Korea has a high youth suicide rate compared to other developed countries. Although the government has tried to reduce the suicide rate, it has not been effective.
