While the parties are going through an endless series of tutu-fut, the artists have voiced the voice of unity. Through songs, they called upon the leaders to unite in order to fulfill the mission of changing the society.
In a musical performance held in Pokhara on Tuesday as part of ‘Rashtra Lagu Music Abhiayatra’, the artists raised awareness about the disharmony of the society through song, dance and acting. He expressed his concern that the communists who had fought together for the revolution were divided among themselves. Raise your voice in favor of justice, freedom and equality. He presented the story of the suffering, pain and struggle of the proletariat in songs. The artists gave collective and individual performances in the program.
Everyone sang in unison the song ‘Tutfut Ra Khandit Kura Nagar’, composed and sung by singer Karna Bidhrohi . Singer Jeevan Sharma’s ‘Yo Rato Latin, Hamro rato Latin ‘ was also presented by the artists collectively.
Singer Sharma recited his popular songs like ‘Simli Chhayama’, ‘Jharnako Chiso Pani’, ‘Chahidaina Malai’ and others. Singer Mohit Shrestha performed ‘Pyaro Jaljala’, singer Nilima Pune performed ‘Lekhdai chhu chitthi timi laai and singer Uday Shrestha performed ‘Pahadka Kura Bhai’ composed by Shyam Tamot.
Singer Chiran Pun sang the song ‘Janataka Kakhaima basera’, composed by Netra Vikram Chand ‘Biplav’, General Secretary of Nepal Communist Party. Singer Anu Sharma, Kazi Gaoule and others also recited songs. Artists from Pokhara-based Sangam cultural stage also presented their performances.
Singer Sharma said that even though the people have made great sacrifices to change the system, they still have to sing songs of change because the situation remains the same. “It has not yet happened as we said”, he said, “There is discrimination and exploitation in the society, so we should warn through music.”
Singer Sharma said that a country-wide music campaign has been started to create public awareness by raising voice in favor of national unity. 22 artists are participating in the campaign. Musicians Manichandra Thapa, Uday Shrestha, Madhav Pradhan, Kusmita Darlami, Tek Balampaki, Uday Rijal, Laxman Pakhrin, Narayan Sharma, Kavita Pun, Sandhya Magar and others were in the musical group.
The tenth program of the pilgrimage was completed in Pokhara, the singer Bidhrohi said. Organizations such as Gandaki Pragya Pratishtan, Pokhara Pragya Pratishtan helped in the local management and coordination of the program. There was a significant attendance of the audience at the program held in the auditorium of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry. As part of the music journey that started from Dhangadhi on 4th Chaitra, the program has been concentrated in the capitals of all the seven provinces and in big cities. It is said that the musical campaign will be concluded on the 5th of Baisakh in Kathmandu in the presence of the major leaders of the Communist Party.
