Kathmandu- Film Development Board Chairman Bhuwan KC said that he is ready to resign if someone can do the work of the film sector faster than him.
Saying that he is working day and night to solve the problems of the film industry, KC also expressed his complaint that he did not do anything while being on the board.
The existing problem of the film sector is not current. I spent 40 years in this industry. Since that time I have been dealing with it” KC said. “This is not a problem that can be solved by me alone. Everyone needs a helping hand.’
He was of the opinion that we have a tendency to blame others in the film industry, that everyone is doing their work honestly, or not, we should also consider that.
In an event organized by film producers in the capital on Wednesday, KC said that one film studio will be built in each of the seven provinces for shooting. He said that the construction of the studio will start soon from Kavre. KC said that the work of the studio to be built in Dolakha will also go ahead.
KC said that despite making rules for the film sector and sending them to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the file could not be moved forward, so he could not resolve the demands of film workers quickly, and requested all film-related organizations to support the initiative.
In the program, film producer Ashok Sharma, former president of Bikash Board Rajkumar Rai, Dayaram Dahal and others expressed their views on the problems of the film sector.
