Patan High Court order to stop the screening of ‘Prasad 2’

The Patan High Court has ordered to stop the screening of the controversial film ‘Prasad 2’ on Chaitra 24 due to producer Subhash Thapa’s failure to settle the financial settlement. Keshav Pandey, the former producer of the film, had filed a writ in the court demanding to stop the screening of the film because the producer Thapa had not given his money. The court has called both sides for further hearing on this 26th.

Apart from this, the court has also issued a show cause order to the Film Development Board. On Monday, the High Court issued a show cause order after the board held an all-sided discussion and agreed to allow the censoring of ‘Prasad 2’ on the complaint filed by the locals of the filming location to five associations related to the film for not getting money.

On the 13th of Chaitra, the district court of Lalitpur has already issued an arrest warrant against producer Subhash Thapa. After the court issued an arrest warrant in the case of banking fraud and fraud filed by Keshav Pandey, the police are now looking for producer Thapa. However, he is out of touch. Keshav Pandey was the producer when the production of the film was announced. Now his name is not in the producer of the film.

Keshav Pandey alleges that Subhash Thapa took 62 lakh 50 thousand money to make the producer of ‘Prasad 2’ but later he made the film with another producer but did not return his money. Producer Thapa had given four checks to Nepal Investment Bank, Kalimati branch account on January 29, but the checks were not cashed due to lack of sufficient funds in the account, so he filed a case for banking malpractice.
