Prime Minister Dahal assures victims that he will solve the problem of metered interest

KATHMANDU, April 1: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assured the victims of measured interest that he will solve the problem even if it is not easy to solve. He claimed to solve the metered interest problem during discussions with the victims of metered interest in Baluwatar today.

Prime Minister Dahal said the law has become an obstacle to bringing justice to the victims of measured interests and punishing the perpetrators and work to amend the law has already started. Dahal asked victims for suggestions on what can be done to make the law effective.

Prime Minister Dahal stated that the Ministry of the Interior was assigned to the Maoist Center so that it would be easy to solve this problem. Dahal said Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha is also serious about solving the measured interest problem and justice for victims is the government’s priority.

Prime Minister Dahal said that the lenders are settling with various state structures and employees and they will be brought before the legal court through the law. He said that the Council of Ministers has decided to form a high-level committee on the issue and assured the victims that the committee will meet the 6-point demand they had raised.
