Kathmandu – The Bhutanese Refugee Idol singing competition is going to be held in Beldangi, Jhapa. Arjun Subedi, president of Nakshetra Foundation, says that the competition to be held inside the Bhutanese refugee camp has been overshadowed by the search for talents.
According to President Subedi, the live round of the competition will start from May. The judges are Karma Gyaljan Bamjan, Mahesh Thulung, Kishore Siwakoti, Srishti Hingmang, Balram Samal Magar. According to the organizers, the first place contestant will get Rs 3 lakh, the second place will get Rs 2 lakh and the third place will get Rs 1 lakh.
Similarly, the organizing organization Nakshetra Foundation will produce a music video for all the winners. The final of the competition will be held in July. The program is also supported by the American Bhutanese Music Association (BAMA) and Disco.
Singer Kamal Rai is directing the competition in which contestants above 15 years of age will participate. For which he is coming to Nepal from America in a few days. The program is sponsored by Red One Reality, Menuka Memorial Foundation, Best Mortgage, Rhythm Screen, etc.
