Writ of A group of theater workers in court against Prime Minister Prachanda

Kathmandu – A group of theater workers has protested against the government. The Joint Struggle Committee with dramatist Jeevan Thapa Kshitij coordinator, Kishore Anurag Adhikari co-coordinator and senior dramatist Vijay Bisphot as advisor has come out in protest.

They have said that they started protesting because the recommendation committee made under the chairmanship of the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Sudan Kiranti for the filling of vacancies in the Nepal Music and Theater Pragya Foundation and the appointment of the Vice-Chancellor are against the current constitution of Nepal.

They held a press conference and informed that they have filed a petition in the court to knock on the door of justice against the same appointment. They said that they would gladly accept the verdict of the court.

In the present democratic system, even though the parties appoint by dividing the shares, they demand that only competent people should be kept in the post. They have also challenged the government to release the resumes of the appointees to inform the people about their qualifications.
