Revenue collection of Kathmandu metropolis increased

4 January, Kathmandu. Kathmandu Metropolitan City has increased revenue collection. Compared to last year, the revenue collection has increased this year, the head of the revenue department. It is mentioned in the report submitted by Shivraj Adhikari to the Revenue Committee.

Stating the progress of revenue collection, the official informed that last year till 15th of January 3 billion 69 crore rupees had been collected, this year the figure has increased to 4 billion 34 crore rupees.

It has been decided that the Revenue Consultative Committee will take a proposal to the Municipal Assembly to determine the amount of fine to be charged for the removal of unauthorized boards within the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. This decision was taken at the meeting chaired by Sunita Dangol, deputy chief and coordinator of the committee on Wednesday.

It is mentioned in the decision that if the businessmen remove the identification plate without taking approval or have kept it against the standards, the fine amount to be imposed will be a minimum of 500 rupees and a maximum of 3000 rupees.
