KATHMANDU, February 23 – Aadil Ansari, a member of the Nepal men’s national cricket team, has been released on bail of Rs 300,000.
Previously, Ansari was arrested on charges of fixing a commercial.
On Wednesday, the court approved an order releasing Ansari on bail.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CIB) has recorded statements from 47 people, including players, team managers, investors and organizers, regarding the T-20 League ad fix.
Based on that statement, the CIB also filed a case against five individuals, namely Mehboob Alam, Mohamad Adhil Alam, Nitesh Gupta, Nabin Kandel and Rabi Majhi. Among these people, Majhi and Kandel have yet to be arrested.
