The trailer for director Milan Chams’ film ‘Gurkha Warrior’ has been released. The trailer for the film, which will be released on Falgun 11th, was released in the capital on Thursday. In this trailer of 2 minutes and 22 seconds, the various struggles and pains experienced by the Gurkha soldiers during the Malayan War are shown. This film is based on the story of the bravery shown by the Gurkha soldiers in the ‘Malaya Emergency Jungle War’ in 1949.
The film had a historic red carpet premiere at IMAX Cineworld in London last August. The film has also been shortlisted for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) award. Ritesh Chams, Vijay Lama, Rebika Gurung, Shishir Wangdel, Kabita Ale, Rear Rai, Birup Ghale, Sara Rai Suraj Tamu, Bhuwan Singh Rai, Trichu Rai and other actors are in the lead roles in the film.
The film has director Milan Chams and Giriraj Ghimire’s writing, Sudeep Baral’s DOP, Himal KC’s action direction, Milan Shrestha’s editing, Shailendra Khanal’s Sharad song, Alice Karki’s music, Rajesh Payal Rai’s singing, and Rajendra Moktan’s color combination. In the Hindi version of the film, there is a song in the voice of Indian singer Saan.
Director Chams said that an American distribution company is going to release the film internationally. In South Korea, it is said that a company called ‘Miss Hoon’ will record and release the film in Korean. Currently, the Hindi dubbing of the film is also being done in Mumbai, where Sachin Gole, the dubbing artist of the ‘KGF’ series, has lent his voice to Ritesh’s character.
The film is produced under the banner of London Cine Eye Productions and Chams Entertainment. Suman Rai and Sushmita Waiba are the producers of the film. Its executive producers are Prashant Thapa and Rajendra Ghimire, and its co-producers are Suresh Rai.
