The Film Actors’ Association has requested the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the death of actor Saruk Tamrakar, who was found hanging in a private residence in Ratopul, Kathmandu on Ashad 21. After the working committee meeting of the association on Sunday, the president Mohan Niraula issued a statement demanding that action be taken if anyone is found guilty.
In a statement issued by the association, it is said, “All the professionals of the film industry are suspicious about late Saruk’s death and there is a voice that there should be a judicial inquiry into this incident, so the union demands a thorough investigation and the truth about the matter.
The responsible members of the film in which Saruk was acting before his death have expressed the incidents and references during the shooting of the film through various online channels, so the association has also demanded that strict action be taken by the investigating agency in this regard and if anyone is found guilty, bring the truth to light and bring them under the law.
Various comments are being made about Saruk’s suicide case. After Rajiv Gurung, the director of the film ‘Hashtag Maya’, in which he acted until his death, made some important revelations in an interview with a YouTube channel on Saturday, there has been a commotion in the film industry. The voice that Saruk should get justice is being raised loudly by the artists.
