Celebrity director Nischal Basnet, who returned to directing after 6 years, completed the shooting of the film ‘Dimag Kharab’ in 36 days. The last scene of the film was shot at the Nepal Film Campus in Pingalasthan, Kathmandu on Monday. The film, which was ‘packed’ 4 days before the schedule (40 days), has been shot in Panchkhal area of Kavre and various locations in Kathmandu.
The board of the Democratic People’s Trust Party can be seen in the background of the group picture after the shooting ‘packup’ shared by the film’s lead actress Swastima Khadka on Facebook. This means that the film is based on political issues. The film based on the story of Janata and Shakti will be screened on October 24. Being Nischal’s comeback film, the expectations are high among the audience.
Along with Swastima khadka, Khagendra Lamichhane, Dayahang Rai, Arpan Thapa and Bijay Baral are in the lead roles in the film. Swastima worked in a film directed by her husband Nischal Basnet for the first time. Earlier, they acted together in the film ‘Ghamad Shere’ along with more than half a dozen music videos. Akash Baral has written the screenplay for Dimag Kharab.
Produced under the banner of Black Horse Pictures and Cinema Arts, the film will have editing by Nimesh Shrestha, cinematography by Sushan Prajapati, music by Jayan K Vaiva and Kaliprasad Baskota. Raunak Bikram Kandel is the producer of the film and Suraj Bam Thakuri is the executive producer. Nischal announced the production of ‘Dimag Kharab’ soon after the release of his second film ‘Tulkajung vs Tulke’.
