Even though the court cleared the way for the screening, the film association has decided not to screen the controversial film ‘Adipurush’ in Nepal. In a statement issued by the association on Friday, it is mentioned that only films other than ‘Adipurush’ will be screened.
The association also stated that it is a natural right to do business independently under the laws of Nepal. The association also stated that it is the duty of the citizens to obey the court, constitution and laws, saying that there is no one above the nation and nationality.
The Patan High Court on Thursday gave a short-term interim order to continue the screening of Indian films while hearing a case filed by the union against the decision of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City. Despite the court’s order, the association decided not to perform the Adipurush. According to which, Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ has been re-screened in Nepal since Friday.
