Kathmandu- Film Bulaki is to be screened from next Friday. This social drama, filmed in Karnali environment, presents the story of ongoing customs and women’s oppression and struggle. Suraksha Pant and Naren Khadka have acted in the lead roles of the film.
Naren, who started his acting career with ‘Hamesha’, made a comeback with ‘Bulaaki’ after a long gap. He also worked in some Bhojpuri films in the meantime. But due to not being able to choose a good story, his acting could not be chosen by the audience.
However, since he is presented in a powerful role in ‘Bulaki’, he is hopeful that he will win the attention of the audience and win their hearts. Naren, who has not been chosen by the producers and directors of the big banners, is under pressure to get established and be seen. “I am hopeful that I will get support and love from Bulaki this time,” he said.
In ‘Bulaki’, he played the role of Chandraya, a young man from Karnali. Even though they have been married for a long time, the Chandraya couple, who are childless, do not have a cordial relationship. The pain of childlessness has caused a rift in married life.
He is supporting the expenses of his mother and wife by farming. Suraksha played the role of Naren’s wife in the film. Naren believes that it was easy to play the character of Karnali as he himself was born and brought up in the Far West. In the film, he looks comfortable in Karnali’s costumes and clothes.
Along with Naren and Suraksha, Biraj Bista, Ramesh Budhathoki, Lakshmi Giri, Kuldeep Adhikari, Sushil Pokharel, Jhalnath Khatri, Dhan Bahadur Rai, Laxman Devkota, Basant Udas, Sonu Sedhain, Prakash Kandel and Saraswati Khatri are acting in the film. This movie featuring Moti Bista under the banner of Chhatreswari Management was directed by Shiv Dhakal. Directed by Laxman Sunar, the film has been shot in picturesque locations of Dolpa, Jajarkot and Rukum West.
