The eagerly awaited film “Rangeli,” which will hit theaters on Falgun 25th, Mahashivratri, has a trailer out. On Wednesday, an event was arranged in Kathmandu to unveil the trailer. Through OSR Digital’s YouTube channel, the trailer is now available digitally.
A “game of fear and power” is depicted in the teaser. Starring all of the main actors, the film aims to provide a visual representation of the variety of events and dimensions that occurred in the Terai region of Nepal. In addition, the impact of politics is also briefly discussed.
Director Subedi claimed to have done everything in his power to make “Rangeli” the film that the audience desired to see. “We put a lot of effort into making this film in the sweltering summer months in the Terai region,” he said. The story of ‘Rangeli’ belongs to the Terai region. According to actor Rupesh Jha, the film would depict both the culture and the story of the Terai people. Actor Prabin Khatiwada stated that he expects the audience’s support because it is not an easy task to make and release a film.
‘Rangeli’ is written and directed by Arjun Subedi. Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Arpan Thapa, Prabin Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki, Rupesh Jha, Sundar Dhital and others play leading roles in it. The songs in this film have lyrics by Harak Saud, Arjun Subedi and Sabin Ektare, and music by Sushant Gautam and Hercules Basnet.
The executive producers of the film are Jeetendra Khatiwada and Anuj Jung Thapa. The producers are Sansar Chaulagain and Ramesh Bhattarai Basistha, while Yubak Karki and Shiva Shankar Chaulagain are co-producers. Bibek Khadka (Yolo) is the associate producer. The cinematographer is Sushan Prajapati.
