Mero Voice and Dance Universe competition Tomorrow: Who will win 1 crore prize?

Kathmandu: The final competition of singing competition ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and dance competition ‘Mero Dance Universe’, which has the highest prize money so far in Nepal, will be held tomorrow, Saturday on August 19. The last five contestants of these two competitions are competing on Saturday to become the winner.

The winner of both the competitions conducted by the Intra Nepal Welfare and Support Foundation of America will receive Rs 1 crore each, the runner-up Rs 30 lakh and the second runner-up will receive Rs 20 lakh and various other prizes. Nepal Television will telecast live the Grand Finale between the top five, which will be held at Sunrise Conference Hall in Godawari on Saturday evening. There is also a group dance under dance and the winner will get a prize of Rs 30 lakh.

The top 5 finalists for the singing competition “My Voice Universe” are Sishir Thatal and Preetam Rai from Sikkim, Sairaj Khati from Darjeeling, Paresh Rai from Sankhuwasabha of Nepal, and Sarad Humagain from Kavre. Mingma D. Lepcha from Sikkim, Khusi Karki from Thailand, Devi Garbuja Magar from Belgium, Susling Magar from Nepal (Mahottari), and Swastik Aryal from Gorkha are among the top five finalists in the dance competition, “My Dancing Universe.”

Nepali artists in Nepal and around the world have said that the two programs broadcast for three months have managed to attract the attention of Nepalis all over the world. Talents who are preparing for the final competition in both competitions expressed their happiness that they were able to come to their mother and fatherland Nepal for this competition and said that even though they are in the final competition, they want to see each other succeed.

Dilli Adhikari, president of the foundation, has been saying that this singing and dancing competition has been organized with the aim of maintaining mutual harmony among the Nepalese people scattered around the world and helping to keep the Nepali language and culture alive among them.

The presiding officer also said that there is a plan to make this program more refined, universal and grand in the coming years. He said, “Talented Nepalis from all over the world were seen on the same stage. Along with their dreams, we have succeeded in bringing art and culture to Nepalis and Nepali speakers around the world. All the Nepalis of the world are happy with this, they have also wished that this program will continue in the future.”

Singers Deep Shrestha, Suresh Adhikari, Anju Pant, Pushpan Pradhan, Sujata Burma are judges of singing competition ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and actresses Mithila Sharma, Shankar BC, Dilip Rayamajhi, Priyanka Karki, Keki Adhikari are among the judges of dance competition ‘Mero Dance Universe’ . Narman Rai is decisive.

For this competition, the foundation had selected talent from 52 different countries of the world since last year. Three months ago, 120 singers and 120 dance artists were selected from those countries and brought to Nepal to compete.

The last five people selected from that competition will compete in the final competition on Saturday to become winners in singing and dancing. Nepali artistes have said that this competition is attractive due to the highest amount of prize in Nepal so far and also as a competition of interests of Nepalis who are scattered in different geographies of the world.
