A lamp has been lit in memory of late actor Saruk Tamrakar. On Wednesday evening, Saruk’s family members, artists and common people lit butter lamps and candles and paid their respects to Saruk at Shanti Kshetra Boudhanath Stupa wishing him eternal peace. When lighting the lamp, everyone was often overwhelmed. Saruk’s parents looked emotional.
Actresses Malina Joshi, Benisha Hamal, Sushma Karki, Shraddha Chhetri, vlogger Sisan Baniya, singer Neetesh Jung Kunwar, former banker Anil Keshari Shah, writer Sampada Malla, director Rensha Bantawa Rai, producer Prajwal Samser Rana, former Miss Nepal Ashmi Shrestha and others were present to light the lamp in Saruk’s memory. Last Asadh 21, Saruk was found hanging at home.
Remembering Saruk, his close friend Sisan Baniya said that Saruk was not a person to be disappointed and he was always smiling and happy. “Saruk was loved by everyone,” he said, “we even made a short film with him.” His and my career started together. He is a perfect model and actor.
Many questions are being raised about Saruk’s suicide case. Actors close to him are also demanding an investigation saying that he may have been forced to commit suicide. The police are also investigating his suicide. A few days ago, the police questioned the director and producer of the film in which Saruk was acting until his death.
