The Council of Ministers has decided to approve the use of two and a half hectares of forest land for the construction of a state-of-the-art film shooting studio at Banepa in Kavre. According to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the decision was taken at the cabinet meeting held last Tuesday.
The government has decided to approve the use of the land of the Bahundanda Community Forest in Ward No.10 and 13 of Banepa Municipality. The budget for the financial year 2080-081 included a plan to construct a state-of-the-art film studio at Banepa.
The government has also started the construction of a film studio in Dolakha, but the construction work is at a slow pace.
