Actresses Rekha Thapa and Pooja Sharma are working together for the first time and the name of the film is ‘Upahar’. On Tuesday, Rekha Films announced the title of the film by releasing the theme poster after obtaining the production license from the Film Development Board. The film is going to be made for the second time under the name ‘Upahar’. Earlier in this name the film was directed by Shiv Regmi.
Rekha herself will produce the film, which will begin shooting from Bhadra. The film is scheduled to be released this year. Along with Rekha and Pooja, another actress will also play the lead role in the film. The production team is preparing to announce the name of another actress in a few days. Gyanendra Deuja, the director of last year’s superhit film ‘Jhingedau’, will direct ‘Upahar’.
Director Deuja informed that the film is going to be made on a social theme. Three actresses will also appear in action avatars in the film. The film has screenplay and dialogues by Abhimanyu Nirvi and the story is written by Sulakshana Bharti. The first song of the film, which will be shot around Kathmandu, was recorded on Monday. Eleena Chauhan and Babul Giri have given voice in the song.
Rekha had previously worked in films such as ‘Dewar Babu’, ‘Hifajat’, ‘Khusi’ under the direction of Gyanendra Deuja. They collaborated again after a decade. After ‘Upahar’, Deuja is preparing for the production of ‘Zhangedau 2’. Deuja also has a film ‘Jailbreaker’ with Chhabi Raj Ojha in the pipeline. After the commercial success of ‘Zhangedau’, the audience’s expectations towards him have increased.
