The trailer of the film ‘Tulkee’ based on polygamy has been released on Friday through TPG YouTube channel. The public trailer shows the problems that a girl faces when she gets married by multiple brothers. Produced by The Palm Group Pvt Ltd, the film has been shot in remote villages like Phoksundo, Tripurakot, Ralli, Karelikanda and others in Dolpa district.
Produced by RP Karmacharya and Shekhar Lama, the film stars Shishir Wangdel, Som Lama, Swastima Karki, Saujan Subba, Narendra Tamang, Sophia Limbu, Shekhar Lama, Mahesh Limbu, Ratna Prasad Neupane, Bhakta Singh Kathayat and others.
According to the production side, the film is not limited to polygamy but also to expose the Chhaupadi system which is rampant in West Nepal as a bad practice. The film is shot and directed by Devjung Thapa. The movie is edited by Tara Thapa Kimbhe and mixed by Deep Tuladhar. This film will be screened from Jestha 12th.
