The LG Cine Circle Award will honor two veteran technicians for their long service. At the award ceremony to be held in Kathmandu on Friday, kitchen manager Jetha Dai (Kul Bahadur Mahat) and make-up artist Santu Tamang are going to be given lifetime achievement.
According to award coordinator Dinesh DC, they are going to be awarded with Rs 51,000. Mahat, popularly known as Jetha Dai, has been serving lunch and dinner on film sets for four decades. Tamang has spent more than four decades as a makeup artist in Nepali films.
In the ceremony, Nepali films and filmmakers who have screened in 2077, 2078 and 2079 will be awarded. This award ceremony could not be held for the last three years due to the Corona epidemic. Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav will be the chief guest at the ceremony and French director of Caravan and Honey Hunter film Eric Vallee will be present as a special guest.
