Kathmandu- The Film Development Board is going to organize a short film competition. Original realistic, message, cultural, historical, creative, artistic, social transformation and awakening, awareness, gender violence, caste discrimination, mistreatment, national self-esteem, national identity and art culture will be a competition of short films made with the aim of protection and promotion.
The board has also published a public notice about the competition. In which the participants have to fill the application form approved by the board V.No. By 10th Baisakh 2080, the application must be submitted to the office of the Film Board or by email. Among the films available for the competition, the best three films will be announced as first, second and third respectively. First, second and third place respectively Rs. One lakh fifty thousand, Rs. One lakh and Rs. Seventy five thousand will be received. The awarded films will be participated by the board in national and international film festivals, special exhibitions, etc. organized professionally and non-commercially.
At least 50 percent of the films participating in the competition must be shot in Nepal and 50 of the film crew must be Nepalese. Also, only films produced within the last three years from the date of publication of the notification will be eligible to participate and those films must have obtained a production license from the Film Development Board.
