Newly appointed CM of Sudurpaschim Shah province to be sworn in today, preparing to expand cabinet

KATHMANDU, February 10 – Kamal Bahadur Shah of the Nepal Congress has been appointed Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province.
Shah is scheduled to take the oath of office and secrecy at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon.
Earlier, the provincial government had collapsed after CM Rajendra Singh Rawal failed to win a vote of confidence.
The newly appointed CM Shah has been endorsed by the Nepali Congress, the CPN (Socialist Unity) and an independent candidate.
The Nepali Congress has also called a parliamentary party meeting this afternoon to finalize the Cabinet expansion.
