RSP Central Committee meeting begins, party likely to decide whether to resign or remain in government

KATHMANDU, February 2: The central committee meeting of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has started at the Kathmandu-based party’s headquarters.

The meeting is likely to decide whether the party will resign or remain in government, according to Prakash Sigdel, personal secretary to Rabi Lamichhane, the party’s chairman.

Shortly after Rabi Lamichhane received his Nepali citizenship, the party demanded the re-election of Rabi Lamichhane as the country’s Home Minister.

However, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed concern about reappointing Lamichhane to the post of Home Minister again.
