“National Award Winner” Deeya Maskey has joined the cast of “Karsang,” a film that is being prepared for shooting from the end of Falgun. On the occasion of Saraswati Puja on Wednesday, the script was worshiped according to Buddhism, and information was given about Deeya’s entry in the film. Dayahang Rai, Puskar Gurung, Maotse Gurung, Surakshya Panta, Buddhi Tamang, and Shilpa Maskey had previously been signed for the film.
Srijana Ningleku and Chiring Sherpa are making their debut with this film. Yam Sherpa wrote the screenplay, and Samrat Chhetri, Chhuki Sherpa, Karma Sherpa, and others will be directing it. Produced in association with Purushottam Pradhan Films and Yarsa Films, Govinda Bohora is the film’s producer. There are rumors that the film will be based on the Sherpa community’s social stories.
Filming will take place at multiple locations in Bhotekosi Rural Municipality and Bahrbise Municipality, with Purushottam Pradhan serving as the cinematographer for this project. Seven Seas Entertainment has bought the international exhibition rights of the film, which has Dilip Panta as the production manager. RR Films will distribute the film within Nepal. The film is targeted for public screening next year.
