Narayan Adhikari, who is living in America, has provided financial support to the Filmmakers Welfare Fund under the Film Development Board. On Wednesday, he reached the office of the board at Chabahil and contributed 1 lakh five thousand rupees. Giving support, he said that he is a well-wisher of Nepali films and watches Nepali films regularly. And said, ‘ I will be active in collecting more support for the welfare fund in the form of assistance to Nepali filmmakers.’
Film Development Board Chairman Bhuwan KC presented a letter of appreciation to supporter Narayan Adhikari. Bashundhara Bhushal, coordinator of the fund, said that the one-time support to the fund will be extended forever. There is more than 4 crores in the ‘Filmmaker Welfare Fund’. Bashundhara has a big role in collecting this amount. She collected lakhs of rupees by asking for help in the country and abroad.
Board President Bhuwan KC, Fund Coordinator Basundhara Bhushal, Board members KL Budhathoki, Raju KC, Nepal Film Artists Association President Mohan Niraula, Nepal Film Directors Society President Janakdeep Parajuli, Nepal Film Conflict Association President Narayan Pradhan, Director Purnendu Jha and others were present in the program. The fund provides emergency assistance to filmmakers who are in trouble.
