Kathmandu- A famous Nepali band is coming to Australia after a decade. This musical group led by Raju Lama is going to perform in eight Australian cities. The tour will start from Melbourne on the 10th of April.
The band is going to tour Australia under the management of Nepali Touch organization. Band manager Bobby Lama informed that after 10 years, they are going to hold a concert in the Australian Nepali diaspora.
“We are very eager to present old and new songs to the audience,” he said. Founded in 1992, the folk, slow rock, pop melody band has Raju Lama on vocals, Bobby on rhythm guitar, Santosh Thapa Magar on drums, Kiran Nagarkoti on lead guitar, Pawan Kapali on bass, Vinay Maharjan on flute and Baburaja Maharjan on Madal.
The second concert will be in Brisbane on the 13th of April, Sydney on the 15th, Canberra on the 16th, Darwin and Perth on the 23rd, Hobart on the 29th and ‘Mongolian Heart’ in Adelaide on the 30th. Deepesh Pun, CEO of Nepal Touch Australia, said that he is excited for the presentation of “Mongolian Heart”. Pun informed that all preparations for the program have been completed.
Raju Lama, the vocalist of the band, says that he is excited for a musical performance in Australia after 10 years. He says, “Jyo Jyo” is coming to Australia, love it like always. The band will fly to Australia on April 7 and will return to Nepal in the first week of May after completing eight pre-scheduled shows.
