‘Chef Nepal’ is airing on Kantipur Television

More than 500 people showed up for the initial round of auditions, and the judges only shortlisted 100 people.

Chef Nepal, the nation’s first reality cooking competition, premiered on Kantipur Television every Friday at 9 p.m. According to the producer, the show will run for a total of 18 episodes.

A few months ago, online portals began hosting audition calls for “Chef Nepal.” No professional chefs were allowed to participate, which was one of the main audition requirements. Almost 500 people showed up for the initial round of auditions, and the judges only chose 100 people to move on.

Chef Santosh Shah, winner of BBC MasterChef: The Professionals Rematch in the UK, Chef Laxman Prasad Bhattarai, often known as “Bhanse,” and Chef Ganesh Bahadur Dhakal, managing director of Royal Thai Hospitality and Baan Thai Restaurants, will evaluate the contestants. The program’s executive producer is the actress Priyanka Karki.
