While Saruk’s father Sanu Tamrakar was being cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat, Namrata paid tribute to father and son.

Kathamndu: On Sunday morning, the magician and artist Sanu Tamrakar was cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat. The flag of the Cinema Artists Association was draped over the late Tamrakar, the former executive president of the Nepal Movie Artists Association, as a mark of respect. Since this morning, the mortal remains of the artist Tamrakar have been held at Aryaghat for final tributes. Mohan Niraula, the president of the Artists Association, managed Tamrakar’s memorial service and cremation.

The mortal body of Tamrakar has received tributes from artists, family members, and well-wishers. Bhuwan KC, the chairman of the Film Development Board, Dhiren Shakya, Srishti Shrestha, Malina Joshi, and other performers made their way to Aryaghat to pay their respects to Tamrakar.

Tamrakar, who had kidney disease, passed away on Saturday at 3:20 p.m. in Thapathali’s Norvic Hospital. Age-wise, he was 74. He had spent the previous month receiving care in the hospital’s ICU. He experienced bereavement-related depression following the death of his son, actor Saruk Tamrakar, on Asadh 21.

Meanwhile, actress Namrata Shrestha paid tribute to actor Sanu Tamrakar and his son, Saruk Tamrakar, on social media. Saruk died a month and a half ago, and his father, Sanu, died on Saturday.

Namrata made no public remarks following Saruk’s passing. On Sunday morning, though, Namrata paid respect by sharing a photo of both father and son on social media. She humbly prayed for the family as a whole to have the fortitude to endure.
