Kathmandu: On Saturday afternoon, veteran actor Sanu Tamrakar, the father of actor Saruk Tamrakar, passed away. Tamrakar, who was being treated at Thapathali’s Norvic Hospital, passed away at 3:20 p.m., according to Mohan Niraula, president of the Cinema Artists Association.
Suffering from kidney disease, he had been seriously ill since the death of his son, Saruk Tamrakar, a few months ago. He had been being treated at Norvic Hospital since that time. According to hospital sources, the sodium level in his body was low. Sanu Tamrakar, who was admitted to the ICU of Norvic Hospital as he was unable to speak, died during treatment.
He had a kidney illness and had been in critical condition ever since his son, Saruk Tamrakar, passed away a few months ago. Since then, he has received care at Norvic Hospital. His body had a low sodium level, according to hospital officials. Sanu Tamrakar, who was hospitalized at Norvic Hospital’s ICU because he couldn’t speak, passed away during treatment.
Tamrakar was an actor who appeared in numerous films, telefilms, and dramas. He was also the former acting president of the Movie Actors Association. Tamrakar, a senior actor, was also a skilled dance instructor and an executive member of the Nepal Film Society.
The late Tamrakar will be cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Sunday morning, according to Mohan Niraula, President of the Artist Association. Before that, Tamrakar will pay his final tributes on Sunday morning at Aryaghat.
