20 contestants have been selected in the finale of ‘Mr. Nepal 2023’. 300 contestants were selected from auditions held across the country. Out of which the last 20 semi-finalists have been decided. The selected contestants are associated with professions such as doctors, engineers, pilots, chartered accountants.
The selected semi-finalists were Nimesh Kapali (Kathmandu), Rajan Iyer (Mahendranagar), Ashim Lamichhane (Bhaktapur), Rohit Bhatt (Belauri), Rohim Dhaubhadel (Bhaktapur), Samarpan Karki (Biratnagar), Lokesh Pradhanang (Lalitpur), Rikesh Prasai (Surunga), Dr Vijay Duwadi (Chitwan), Rajiv Tiwari (Gorkha), Anubhav Joshi (Lalitpur), Aayan Raaz Chaudhary (Belhi), Mikaj Karki (Lalitpur), Diamond Dhungana (Mangalsen), Ramannath Giri (Biratnagar), Swopnil Adhikari (Pokhara), Kumar Yadav (Janakpur), Dipendra Shahi (Pokhara), Krishal Shrestha (Kavre), Prabin Pathak (Surunga).
Rabi Dhamala, president of the organizer Next Models Nepal, informed that the selected contestants will be training for the finale. The training includes swimming, football, rock climbing, social service, hiking, catwalk, personality development, public speaking and more than a dozen subjects. The selection stage auditions were held in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Bharatpur, Butwal, Pokhara and Kathmandu.
This time, Mr. Nepal is being organized under the name of ‘New Look Mr. Nepal’. A provision has been made that Nepali citizens with a height of more than 5 feet 8 inches should be present in the competition in which youths between the ages of 16 and 32 will participate. The top winner will get a prize worth five lakh rupees along with representing Nepal in ‘Mr. World 2023’ or ‘Mr. Global 2023’.
