Finally, after the controversial dialogues were removed from the film, the Nepali Censor Board has given permission to the South Indian film ‘Adi Purush’. On Thursday night at 8 o’clock, the chairman of the Censor Board, Anil Kumar Dutt, gave the signed permission letter to the distributor.
Objecting to the sentence ‘Janki is the daughter of India’ included in the film, the board refused to allow the screening on Thursday afternoon. The board gave permission only after the Indian distributor removed the controversial sentence from the film and sent it to Nepal.
After the approval of the Censor Board, it is confirmed that ‘Adi Purush’ will be released in Nepal on Friday. However, the Facebook status of Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu metropolis, has raised doubts. He mentioned that even in India, if the controversial sentence is not removed within three days, no Hindi film will be allowed to be screened in Kathmandu metropolis.
Balen’s secretariat has also stated that they will wait for three days but will not allow any Hindi film to be screened in Kathmandu until the sentence is removed and an apology will be given and all the halls will be sent a letter about this. Prabhas and Kriti Sanon starrer Adipurush is based on the story of Ramayana. This film is going to be released in Nepal by Banktes Entertainment.
