The ‘Bhaktaraj Acharya National Music Award-2079’ has been announced as a joint project of Bhaktaraj Acharya Music Foundation and City Express Money Transfer.
This year, ‘Bhaktaraj Acharya National Music Award-2079’ will be awarded to singer Deep Shrestha for singing and Shakti Ballav for music, informed Swaroopraj Acharya, son of singer Bhaktaraj Acharya. According to him, the prize money is Rs 50,000.
He informed that the ‘Sushila Acharya Su-Swastha Kamana Samman”, which was started last year for musicians who are in poor financial condition and deprived of medical treatment, will be awarded to young tabla player VP Singh. Its prize money is Rs. 25 thousand.
Singer Acharya said that honors and awards will be given in a special musical ceremony to be held on 23 Baisakh. “Every year, we honor the musicians who have been working continuously in the Nepali music industry for a long time to inspire them to do more work. In the coming days, we will make it more up-to-date”, said singer Acharya.
