Three Nepali films were screened today on the occasion of New Year. ‘Jari’, ‘Bihe Paas’ and ‘Bulaki’ were performed.
Dayahang Rai’s two films have been screened simultaneously in the hall. He has the lead role in the films ‘Bihe Paas’ and ‘Jari’.
Based on the love story of the Limbu community, the film ‘Jari’ will show the struggle of a man to bring back his wife. The film is written and directed by Upendra Subba and produced by Rambabu Gurung. The Basuri Films banner film stars Dayahang Rai, Miruna Magar, Bijay Baral, Roydeep Shrestha, Rekha Limbu, Kamal Mani Nepal, Pushkar Gurung and others. Based on the ongoing practice of the Limbu community, the film has got a high show at the multiplex halls.
Similarly, the film ‘Bulaki’ directed by Laxman Sunar is also based on the ongoing practice. Produced by Topendra Bista, the film stars Suraksha Pant, Naren Khadka, Biraj Bista, Ramesh Budhathoki, Prakash Kandel, Kuldeep Adhikari, Sushil Pokharel, Laxmi Giri, Sonu Sedhai, Saraswati Khatri and others. The story of the film is written by Raj Bahadur Sane, while director Sunar, Nirmal Paudel and Biraj Bista collaborated with Sane for the screenplay and dialogues. Cinematography by Shiv Dhakal, the film is edited by Arjun JC and director Sunar.
The movie ‘Bihe Pas’ directed by Prabesh Paudel stars Dayahang Rai, Prakriti Shrestha, Rabindra Jha, Buddhi Tamang, Shishir Wangdel, Rusha Neupane, Shyam Rai, Bishal Pahari, Subas Gajurel, Nizhwal Gautam, Nabin Sherchan, Prakash Bhujel, Uma Baniyan and others. Produced by Rohit Kattel, Ratna Shrestha is the executive producer and Rojan Shrestha is the producer. The film was shot by Shiv Dhakal and edited by Mitradev Gurung.
